A Ritual Tray for a Home with Three Cats

A stable ritual tray to gather symbols of home protection, organize an intention and keep the cats' routes clear in the shared house.

Duration 20 minutes

·

Low, stable tray with box, notebook and LED light while a cat rests at a distance.

Create a low and stable place to write and organize closed objects without invading feline routes.

Materials

  • A low wooden tray with integrated non-slip feet1
  • A box with a lid1
  • A notebook1
  • An LED light with screw-secured battery compartment1

Step by step

  1. Follow the usual cat routes and choose a low surface outside of them.
  2. Check that the non-slip surface and feet do not move.
  3. Place the empty tray on the stable surface.
  4. Check that the battery compartment screw is installed and that the compartment remains closed.
  5. Place the closed box, the notebook and the secured LED light inside.
  6. Write a sentence in your notebook about the order you want to preserve.
  7. Activate the light for a few minutes without leaving the tray unattended.
  8. Turn off the light and check again that the screw is in place and the compartment is closed.
  9. Store the notebook and the light inside the box, close the lid and store the closed box and the empty tray in a closed cabinet out of feline routes.

The meaning of practice

The tray delimits a place to organize attention; it does not protect the house or modify feline behavior.
