Reading the card
Taking a moment away can help you see the road better.
The Hermit does not ask to isolate you from the world, but rather to reduce noise to distinguish useful light from a passing reflection. Experience becomes a guide when you look at it honestly and then share it without imposing it.
The Hermit raises a lantern whose light reaches only the immediate section of the path. It does not promise a total vision: it proposes enough clarity to move forward with discernment. Retreating for a moment can help you listen to your own needs, review an experience, or regain concentration, as long as the pause does not become a permanent disconnection. What you have learned matures when you can go back, contrast it with others, and offer it as guidance, not as obligatory truth.
